My roommate and I have been at Emerald Village for a little over a year now and it was an easy decision to renew our lease! ... Earlene in the leasing office is wonderful, she's friendly and welcoming and always willing to help explain anything you may have questions about. Chuck in maintenance is similarly fantastic, another warm and friendly personality who is always quick with the turnaround on maintenance calls and does well to keep you informed on the status of the job. Depending on what building you're in the parking is better or worse, but ultimately even if you need to use an adjacent lot it's not far at all. Laundry facilities are straightforward and accommodating, the dumpsters aren't far, the lots have good safety lighting, we've never had an issue with our mail or anything either, and despite the horrible yappy dogs across the hall, the neighbors for the most part are friendly in passing and quiet in residence. Of course the location is also prime, being close to major highways, about 25 minutes from downtown, right down the way from Mentor Mall, nearby grocery stores, gyms, and movie theaters, good schools, parks, and safe neighborhood. The units are also well maintained and fairly spacious, with good storage space. Overall a great place to stay if you're looking at the suburban east side! Emerald Village is an awesome place for a new beginning. I’ve been a resident for 3 1/2 years and the staff here has been ... my support system. Being a single mother with children, you need support and the staff here has become my support. The support has become a family unit. The staff here are encouraging, helpful and considerate of others. The location is clean and quiet. The community is very welcoming. I am in the process of purchasing a new home and this review is bittersweet. I am going to miss the staff, the property manager Earlene and the maintenance guy, Chuck. I wrote a Google review back in April of 2020 when we first moved in. I could not have been more satisfied with the help ... and service we received from Earlene. We are coming to the end of our first year here at Emerald Village but we have decided to stay for 2 more years! The few times we required some maintenance help, the response time was quick and the gentleman was very kind and helpful. Earlene has also been very kind and understanding to personal issues we experienced while living here. I love that our complex opens right up into quiet neighborhoods with plenty of area to walk. I just signed my lease for my fifth year. I can honestly say that over the years, the quality has drastically diminished. ... In the summer, the door to our building sticks with the heat, it has never been fixed. It is now sticking in the winter, when I reached out to the office, I was told that I should rely on my neighbors to shut it all the way, that NEVER happens.
